Panel buttons

Panel buttons provide control over basic functions for creation, updating and deletion of markers and references. Different buttons are active depending on the view and selection.

  • Insert Source Marker button

Insert Source Marker buttonThis button will create a new source marker at the current cursor position. This button is available when active cursor is in the text frame.

  • Insert Cross-Reference

Insert Cross-Reference buttonThis button in the Cross-References panel will create a new cross-reference at the current cursor position. This button is available when active cursor is in the text frame.

  • Update Cross-Reference(s)

Update Cross-Reference(s) buttonThis button updates a reference. Cross-References within open documents are updated live by default, live updating can be turned off. This button is enabled when at least one cross-reference is selected.

  • Go to source marker

Go to source marker buttonGo to source marker button will show you a source of a selected cross-reference and highlights the source marker in the list and in the text. It is only enabled when you select a single cross-reference.

  • Re-link Cross-Reference(s)

Re-link Cross-Reference(s)This button will open the Choose new source document dialog for selected reference(s). Alt+Click on the button will re-link the reference(s) to a current document.

  • Delete Cross-Reference(s) / Source Marker(s)

Delete Cross-Reference(s) / Source Marker(s)This button in the Cross-References panel deletes the selected Cross-Reference(s) or Source Marker(s), depending on the view and items selected.
