Converting vs. Importing cross-referencesDTP Tools Help > Plug-Ins for InDesign/InCopy > MIF Filter for InDesign > Preferences > Conversion Preferences > Converting vs. Importing cross-references When you choose option "Convert Imported Cross-References to Text" cross-referencess from your FrameMaker document will be changed to normal text reflecting the state of the document upon last update. "Use Cross-References (Requires DTP Tools plug-in)" - this option is only available when DTP Tools Cross-References plug-in or Cross-References free reader is installed in InDesign. This feature will convert the FrameMaker references into the format supported by our plug-in. Using the document in the future will require the presence of either Cross-References plug-in or Cross-References free reader. Both, reader and full version allow to convert references to text at any time - more on converting references after conversion is here. |
